January 29, 2010 - The Hip will be playing a
special "Sneak Preview" performance on
January 29, 2010 at The Penny Road Pub in
Barrington from 8 - 9 pm. At this show, we
introduce our newest member, Paula, lead
guitarist.
November, 2009 - It's time for our annual Winter
Break - See you in The Spring!

Great news! Our drummer Scott is healing up
nicely post-surgery and he will be joining us for
the first time since October 2008 at Penny Road
in Barrington on May 24! We hope you'll come
out to give Scott a warm welcome back!
4/25/09 Special thanks to the band Velocity for
inviting us to do a show with them in August at
O'Malley's in Alsip, Illinois! We hope to see you
all there - you'll love Velocity - they're a
fantastic band!

The Hip kicked off their 2009 "Angina
Monologues" Tour April 12 at Penny Road Pub
in Barrington! We had such a great time, and so
did the audience! We were invited back for a
June show. Stay tuned for details. Special
thanks to Bob Cozza for the fantastic booking,
and thanks to Diana from the band Velocity for
hookin' us up.
"Titanium Walker" Tour T-Shirts are available
now. If you'd like one, come to a show and ask
any band member for a shirt! And we still have
a few shirts for our 2007 "I've Fallen and I Can't
Get Up" Tour...
Our drummer Scott has been on injured
reserve since October. We have been lucky
enough to have one of Scott's good friends,
Jeff Kmiec, to fill in until Scott's all healed up.
We want to thank Jeff for the AMAZING job he
did drumming with us at Penny Road on April 11!

announce that they have
engaged the services of Jim
Murphy as their stage manager.

original drummer, Scott, after a
long recovery from several
surgeries - we're grateful to have
him back in the engine room! We
would like to take this opportunity
to thank Jeff for sitting in for
Scott during Scott's recovery.

former substitute drummer, as
our new bass player! Lisa will be
passing the bass to Jeff and Lisa
will pick up where her brother,
Steve, former Hip guitarist /
keyboard player; left off by
picking up rhythm guitar to
support Paula's smokin' leads,
and keyboards just for fun.
